It looks like Apple is getting ready to launch another budget-friendly iPhone pretty soon. It’s rumored to be called the iPhone SE 4 — or maybe even the iPhone 16e, depending on what Apple decides to go with. Either way, this new iPhone is expected to hit stores globally around March or April 2025, and yeah, that includes India too.

Now when it comes to price, it sounds like it’s going to be somewhere between $499 and $549, which is roughly ₹43,200 to ₹47,600 in Indian currency. That’s kind of in the same range as the last SE model, which launched here at ₹43,900 back in 2022. So, Apple seems to be sticking to its plan of offering a cheaper iPhone option for people who want Apple quality without paying flagship prices.

And yes, it’ll be available in India just like the other iPhones usually are — through Apple’s official website, Apple Stores, and probably through other partner retailers across the country. No big surprises there.

What to Expect From the iPhone SE 4 (or 16e)

Alright, let’s talk about what’s possibly inside this new iPhone. Based on all the leaks and rumors going around, it’s expected to have either a 6.06-inch or 6.1-inch OLED display. It’ll run at 60Hz, which is fine, though not as smooth as the higher refresh rates you get on Apple’s premium models. But for this price? Still solid.

Performance-wise, it looks like it’ll be powered by the new A18 chip — which is the same level of performance you’d expect from their latest models. So whether you’re using it for regular stuff, gaming, or video calls, it should handle everything pretty easily.

Now here’s something interesting — it might come with a 48MP rear camera and a 24MP front camera. If that’s true, this could be a big step up for the SE series when it comes to taking pictures and selfies. Plus, the battery is expected to be 3,279mAh, and it’ll support 20W wired fast charging and MagSafe wireless charging too. So charging shouldn’t be an issue.

Other Stuff That Might Come With It

There’s also talk that Apple is ditching the Lightning port on this one and switching to USB-C, which, honestly, makes sense given what’s been happening with other Apple products. It’s also supposed to come with Face ID, water and dust resistance (IP68 rating), and their own 5G modem — which could mean faster and more stable 5G connections than before.

So yeah, while this might not be the flashiest iPhone out there, it sounds like Apple’s putting a lot of good stuff into a more affordable package. And if you’ve been waiting for an iPhone that doesn’t break the bank but still gives you that newer feel, this one could be worth checking out.

Let’s see if these rumors actually turn out to be true — but if they are, the iPhone SE 4 (or iPhone 16e) could be a pretty smart buy in 2025.
