Valorant Patch 10.06: What's New?
Hey Valorant players! Patch 10.06 just dropped, and honestly, it's a pretty big one. We're talking agent overhauls, some serious tweaks, and a whole bunch of bug fixes. Ready to dive in?
KAY/O: The Re-birth of a Duelist?
Let's start with KAY/O. He got a major overhaul. His FLASH/DRIVE now has a slightly longer windup after it bounces – 0.8 seconds to be exact. This gives you a better chance to aim it and makes it easier to see (and hear!) coming. It's also more effective now; they extended the duration of the underhand flash to 1.5 seconds. Your team even gets a minimap indicator now, and the voice line range got a serious boost to 50 meters – way better for coordination. And get this – his NULL/cmd ultimate? The ally resurrection time is now halved to just 1.5 seconds! That's huge.
Yoru and Vyse: A Balancing Act
Next up: some adjustments. Yoru's Fakeout now costs double – 200 credits. That makes it a much more tactical choice, requiring more thought before you use it. Vyse, on the other hand, received some nerfs. The duration of her Razorvine and Shear abilities are now shorter – 7 and 6 seconds, respectively. This means you'll need to be even more precise with your timing.
Sunset Improvements and Bug Fixes: Smooth Sailing Ahead?
Performance-wise, this patch really focuses on Sunset. They've optimized its CPU performance to improve frame rates, especially on those lower-end systems. Whew! They also fixed tons of bugs impacting various agents – Vyse, Raze, Deadlock, Breach, Sova, KAY/O, Gekko, Iso, and Tejo all saw some love (or maybe some much-needed taming!). Seriously, check the full patch notes for the full list; it's quite extensive.
What's Coming Up?
Looking ahead, Valorant patch 10.08 arrives on April 29th, 2025, and it's bringing Sunset back into competitive rotation, replacing Fracture. We’ll have to see how the changes hold up in competitive play, but this 10.06 update definitely shows Riot’s dedication to keeping Valorant balanced and smooth. It’s a continuous work in progress, which is good to see. Stay tuned for more updates!
