Adani Data Networks Limited (ADNL), the telecom arm of Adani Group, has received the license for access services, which allows the company to supply all telecom services in the country.
ADNL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises which was incorporated on 22nd December 2021 with a capital of Rs 2.5 crores.
The company was incorporated with the objective of providing reliable domestic and international network connectivity services and solutions by investing in the development and acquisition of optical fiber infrastructure, deploying optical transmission networks in multiple locations, and developing submarine cable systems in India.

In the 5G spectrum auction held in August 2022, ADNL was the fourth bidder for spectrum alongside the three main telecoms in India. It had acquired spectrum only in the 26 GHz band for a consideration of Rs 212 crores.
The company had clarified at the time that it was participating in the race only to offer private network solutions for business verticals like airports, ports, power generation, and logistics, and not to enter the consumer mobility space.
The Adani Group has stated that it plans to use its acquired airwaves for its data centers alongside its 'super app' which it is building to support aforesaid business verticals. In the absence of this unified license, the Adani Group would be compelled to use third-party networks and pay carriage charges.
"The newly-acquired 5G spectrum is expected to help create a unified digital platform that will accelerate the pace and scale of the Adani group's digitization of its core infrastructure, primary industry, and B2C business portfolio," the group had said in a statement earlier.
ADNL is an unlisted company and there are currently no reports suggesting an IPO of the same anytime soon.
