Physics Wallah plans INR 120 Cr investment in technology skilling platforms and prepares a skilled tech workforce of 10 lakh individuals by 2025.

Physics Wallah, a renowned ed-tech startup, has announced plans to invest a staggering Rs. 120 crores in the next 2-3 years to enhance its technology skilling platforms, said Prateek Maheshwari, PW Co-Founder. 

Physics Wallah's business, PW Skills, intends to close the gap in teaching and transform the learning process because nearly all of the tech and upskilling courses now offered are inaccessible and heavily priced.

PW Skills aims to offer courses in cutting-edge fields such as blockchain, cybersecurity, and AR/VR. By focusing on these areas, the startup plans to prepare a skilled tech workforce of 10 lakh individuals by 2025, said PW Skills CEO Sudhanshu Kumar. 

Additionally, PW Skills seeks to expand its course offerings by collaborating with top colleges for joint certification courses, introducing diploma courses, and even providing technology courses in vernacular languages.

With 1.5 lakh students enrolled in its courses, offered in languages like — Hindi, English, and Hinglish, PW Skills aims itself as the largest online platform for teaching tech skills. PW Skills also plans to address the need for practical training and emphasis basics in existing courses.

This ed-tech unicorn will allocate the investment towards developing the technology and platform, creating content including vernacular courses, onboarding industry experts, and strengthening the ecosystem to provide job opportunities. 

PW Skills provides hybrid courses in various technology domains, such as data science, Java, C++, and full-stack web development, starting from just INR 3,500. Moreover, with connections built with over 250 notable organisations, like Tata IQ, Siemens, SAP, Oracle, and Amazon, the platform provides placement aid through its employment portal.

Physics Wallah also plans to strengthen its Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) offerings by investing INR 100 crore. This Noida-based company is India's largest EdTech Platform and the only profitable EdTech Unicorn in FY 2022. While Alakh Pandey, PW owner, net worth is estimated to be $1 Billion in 2023.
