Unilever has appointed Fernando Fernandez, currently President of Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group, as its new Chief Financial Officer. Fernandez will succeed Graeme Pitkethly, who is retiring from the company.


Fernando Fernandez, is appointed as a New Chief Financial Officer through the internal and external search process. He is currently the president of Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group, and will soon replace previous CFO Graeme Pitkethly, who announced his decision to retire from the company earlier this year.Fernando will join the Board on January 1, 2024, as per his appointment, which takes effect on that day.

Fernando used to be in charge of Unilever's operations in Latin America. This came after 2011–2019, a prosperous time as Unilever Brazil's leader. He oversaw Unilever Philippines and, prior to that, Unilever's Global Hair Care division earlier in his career.

With this news, Unilever has also announced some other changes to its Unilever Leadership Executive.

- President Ice Cream will now be Peter ter Kulve, who is currently President of Home Care.

- President of Nutrition Hanneke Faber has chosen to leave Unilever in order to pursue an outside opportunity. In due order, news of Hanneke's replacement will be released.
