An auspicious time or occasion in Hindu Traditions is known as 'Muhurat'. It represents a moment when planet alignments are believed to be favorable for achieving positive results.
On the occasion of Diwali, One special hour trading session is held famous as Muhurat Trading, which is considered a great time for investing in shares. Annually, the stock exchange designates the schedule for Muhurat Trading.

The History Behind Muhurat Trading
Initially introduced by the Bombay Stock Exchange in the year 1957 was later followed by the National Stock Exchange. For over 50 years, Muhurat Trading has been a longstanding tradition on Indian stock exchanges, with its inception dating back to 1957 when the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) introduced it. National Stock Exchange (NSE) later followed this tradition, starting its own Muhurat Trading session in 1992, which has now become a significant part of the Diwali celebrations.
In contemporary times, Muhurat Trading holds predominantly symbolic and cultural significance due to its auspicious nature. Hindu investors commonly engage in Lakshmi Pujan, a prayer dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi, before strategically investing in robust companies anticipated to deliver favorable long-term returns.

What is Vikram Samvat 2080?
Vikram Samvat, a lunar calendar observed in India and Nepal, ushers in its new year with the celebration of Diwali. In alignment with the Gregorian calendar, Samvat 2080 commenced on November 12, marked notably in the stock market through Muhurat trading.
The antiquity of the Vikram Samvat calendar is evident in numerous ancient and medieval inscriptions. According to tradition, the inception of the Vikrama Samvat era is credited to King Vikramaditya of Ujjain, who established it following his triumph over the Sakas.
