Exciting news for Audi lovers! The brand has released the first teaser of its redesigned 2026 Audi Q3 and it is already making waves. The full reveal will take place on June 16, but the teaser is enough to build excitement about the trendy compact luxury SUV. So whether you already own a Q3, or are just considering purchasing a Q3 or similar premium SUV, here is what to expect from Audi's latest and greatest offering.

A Sharper, Bolder New Look

If you think the design of the outgoing Q3 was attractive, just wait! The 2026 rearranges the components that make up the Q3 and re-orders them, but even more importantly, puts the components back on the vehicle at sharper angles than before. In fact, everything about your new 2026 fiercely handsome vehicle, right from the much rockstar-inspired lighting, will be completely different. The teaser shows a split headlight on the DRL that includes the LED DRL at the very top and pixel lighting reinforced just above the lower main beam LED main beams, which give the new Q3 an edgy, progressive look bordering on concept car appearance.

In addition, there appears to be a little more muscle in the fender with less ungainly proportions and greater width. The links to a compact vehicle are unmistakable here, this is a compact crossover; however, the looking characteristics from the face to the angles makes the vehicle look that much more upscale and aggressive, like a mini-Q5.

Built on a Smarter Platform

The new Q3 is based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB Evo platform, which is the same architecture used in the likes of the Golf and Tiguan. This means improvements in handling, weight and flexibility in powertrains. While Audi has not shared engine details yet, we expect to see a range of gas and plug-in hybrid options, especially for the U.S. market.

For those thinking about electric, we could see a PHEV option, especially in Europe, while those in the U.S. can expect a 2.0L turbocharged engine, quite possibly with mild hybrid assist for better fuel consumption.

Interior Tech Could Get a Major Upgrade

Audi hasn't shown the cabin yet officially, but we should expect a high-tech and screen-heavy environment. Rumblings indicate a new digital instrument cluster, its largest ever 14.5-inch central touchscreen and even one for the front passenger similar to the Q8 examine and below.

MMI will also get an update, bringing better menus and more apps and quicker menu response times expected. Plus, we should receive more safety and driver assist tech as standard.

When Will It arrive in the U.S.?

The worldwide launch will be on June 16 but don't get too excited. This vehicle won't show up on a U.S. dealership lot anytime soon. Following Audi’s typical timeline, expect the American launch of the 2026 Q3 to take place in early 2026. Pricing is still unknown but expect it to start in the low $40,000s depending on the trim and powertrain.

What We’re Hoping For

Besides the usual changes, many people are hoping Audi will throw in a little extra practicality - perhaps a little more legroom in the back, or a little more cargo. Audi would also have double the reason to load this new Q3 with value. At the same time as the growing compact SUV competition increases from vehicles like BMW's X1 and Mercedes-Benz's GLA.
