Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray condemned the knife attack on Saif Ali Khan, calling it "shocking." Expressing relief that the actor is stable and recovering, Aaditya prayed for Saif’s quick recovery. However, he emphasized that the incident sheds light on the deteriorating law and order situation in Maharashtra.

Thackeray pointed out that recent incidents, including hit-and-run cases and threats to both politicians and actors, reflect the government's failure to tackle crime effectively. He questioned whether there is anyone in the government genuinely concerned about citizens' safety, calling the situation concerning.

Actor’s domestic help Elyimma Philips alias Lima, was present in the house and she first spotted the accused entering in the flat. She tried to stop an accused and in scuffles she got injuries in her hand. Hearing her scream, Saif Ali Khan came and fight started with him. The accused was carrying sharp kind of object with him and stabbed Khan, said police.

The accused managed to flee from the building. He was captured in the CCTV footage. As of now the accused seen only person in the incident but will clear after the further investigation, said senior officer.

Dr. Nitin Dange, the neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, briefed the media on Saif Ali Khan’s condition following the stabbing incident. He explained that Saif was admitted around 2 am with severe injuries caused by an unknown assailant. The knife lodged in his spine caused significant damage to the thoracic spinal cord, prompting surgery to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Additionally, deep wounds on his left hand and neck were treated by the plastic surgery team. The entire surgery was closely monitored by Dr. Srinivas Kudva, a cardiologist, due to Saif’s other health concerns. Dr. Dange assured that Saif is now stable, recovering well, and is out of danger.

Kareena Kapoor arrived at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon to be with her husband, Saif Ali Khan, after he underwent multiple surgeries following the shocking attack at their Bandra home. Due to the heightened security following the incident, Kareena was seen arriving with heavy security as she rushed to meet her injured husband.

Reacting to the shocking news of Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing, actress Karishma Tanna shared her concerns with Etimes, noting the intense media and police presence outside the scene. She pointed out that the incident serves as a wake-up call for standalone buildings in Bandra, urging her own cooperative society to improve security.

Karishma remarked, “I’ve been telling everyone in my building for over a year to increase security. Nobody deserves what happened to this family.” She emphasized that this unfortunate event should prompt everyone, including her own building, to enhance safety measures and employ additional guards.

Reports indicate that Karishma resides in a building on the same lane as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

In the wake of the attack on Saif Ali Khan, a forensic department officer confirmed that fingerprints had been collected from the crime scene. Sniffer dogs were also brought to help track down the intruder, who managed to flee the area. A senior officer will provide further details as the investigation progresses.
