His Inspiring Journey

  • Born in Andhra Pradesh, Srikanth overcame numerous challenges as a blind student.
  • He fought legal battles to study science after 10th grade, as government rules did not allow visually impaired students to take the stream.
  • Despite scoring 98% in Class 12, he was denied admission to Indian engineering colleges, including IITs.
  • He applied to international universities and became the first blind international student at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
  • At MIT, he set up a computer training center for visually impaired students.
  • After returning to India, he became a youth leader in the Lead India Program, training over 8 lakh young people in leadership and employability skills.
