Welcome to Jobaaj Stories, where we share inspiring stories of individuals who have pursued their dreams and achieved success in their chosen careers.
In this segment, we bring you the story of Muskan Agrawal, a CA Final Student who is tirelessly striving to achieve her career goals, while also creating a personal brand for herself on LinkedIn.
Hello everyone,
I am Muskan Agrawal, a CA Final Student, pursuing my Articleship from Ernst & Young in Auditing & Assurance.
Besides, I am a Content Creator on LinkedIn with 55,000+ followers.
In this post, I will share my journey from a young age, my reason for walking the path to be a CA, my Articleship experience at EY, and my future aspirations.
Why I Chose to Become a CA:
Since Childhood, I was always captivated by numbers, excelling in Maths. When I completed my 10th grade with a 10 CGPA, my teachers and classmates insisted me to pursue science.
However, I was confident about becoming a CA since class 9th, so even though most of my classmates were considering engineering or medicine, I chose commerce with mathematics as my stream and I enjoyed studying subjects like accountancy, economics, business, mathematics and English.
My Articleship Experience at EY:
After clearing my CA intermediate exams, I started my Articleship with Grant Thornton in April 2022 and later after 4 months I joined my dream firm, Ernst & Young (EY) in August 2022. Both for Statutory Audit Profile and for Gurugram Location.
I have been working on a Listed Client in the real estate sector, where my roles and responsibilities include auditing financial statements using INDAS and understanding the business and internal controls of the client.
Apart from learning audit work, I learned about professionalism and work culture while working in a Big4. I am grateful to work with a supportive team that helps me with my extracurricular activities and personal growth.
Personal Growth During Articleship:
Moving to Gurgaon for my Articleship has been a significant step in my personal growth. Being away from home, I have become more independent and learned to manage everything on my own.
During the last ten months, I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and worked on things I had avoided since childhood, which were essential for my growth. I have mentored 4000+ students virtually, attended conferences as a paper presenter, master of ceremony, and volunteer, and was invited as a guest speaker in many events and webinars.
I have also given 450+ 1:1 mentoring sessions on topmate regarding resume review, CA Articleship Guidance, Career guidance, Interview preparations & tips to CA Students for acing everything they are doing.
I have also launched my master class on LinkedIn personal branding and job finding with Platform Graphy by Unacademy.
Future Aspirations:
In the long term, I hope to advance my career and become the best version of myself in this field. I believe that with hard work and dedication, anyone can achieve their career goals.
Chartered Accountants are well-respected experts in the field of finance, and I aim to make a significant impact in this field. If I can inspire others to achieve their goals, grow personally, and make a positive impact, I would be happy to give back to my community.
My journey as a CA Final student and my Articleship experience at EY have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, and I look forward to learning more and spreading knowledge in my network.
Lastly I would like to say, always believe in yourself, and if you feel like you can do something, Just give it your 100% best to achieve it!
