Born and raised in Delhi, Rahul Sachdeva grew up with an analytical mind and a passion for problem-solving. His academic journey began with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Indraprastha University, where he mastered circuits, signal processing, and communication systems. However, life had a different path in store for him.
After completing his engineering degree, Rahul worked for a couple of years in the tech industry. But during this time, he was exposed to finance-related projects, sparking an interest in financial modeling, investment strategies, and corporate structuring. The more he delved into financial data and decision-making, the more he realized that his true calling lay beyond engineering—in the world of finance and management consulting.
Determined to transition, Rahul pursued an MBA in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad, one of India’s premier business schools. The program not only refined his financial acumen but also gave him a strategic mindset for corporate problem-solving. Soon after, he landed a coveted role at PwC in Corporate Finance, marking his entry into the world of high-stakes financial consulting.
Rahul’s journey at PwC was nothing short of dynamic. From mergers & acquisitions to financial restructuring and risk assessments, he worked on projects that had a direct impact on businesses. His ability to bridge technology and finance gave him an edge, allowing him to offer data-driven financial insights that others often overlooked.
His role wasn’t confined to a desk—he spent two years in Australia on a client-side engagement, gaining international exposure and firsthand experience in global financial markets. Working closely with high-profile clients, he refined his consulting skills, strengthened his business acumen, and expanded his professional network.
Beyond the boardroom, Rahul believes in pushing his limits, both mentally and physically. A frequent traveler, he enjoys exploring new destinations and cultures. His keen interest in squash keeps him agile, both in sports and in business. But perhaps the most exhilarating experience of his life was when he went skydiving, an adventure that symbolized his fearlessness and willingness to take the leap—be it in his career or personal life.
Now, settled into his work-from-home consulting role at PwC, Rahul enjoys the best of both worlds—solving complex business problems while maintaining the flexibility to travel, play squash, and pursue new experiences. His story is a testament to the fact that career transitions are not just about shifting industries but about embracing change, learning, and continuously evolving.
