Born in the cultural capital of India, Kolkata, Ankur Goel’s journey is a testament to how deep passion for finance, curiosity, and consistent growth can shape a powerful career.
Ankur began his academic journey at the prestigious St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, where his love for numbers started to take a sharper shape. With a natural inclination toward finance, he pursued not just one but three of India’s most respected professional qualifications – Chartered Accountancy (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Company Secretary (CS).
“It all began with a fascination for numbers – the way they tell stories, move markets, and shape businesses. That fascination led me to CA and CFA,” says Ankur.
He cleared CA between 2014–2017 and completed CFA by 2018, laying a rock-solid foundation for a career in global finance.
His professional journey took off at none other than Goldman Sachs, where he spent 7 transformative years. Starting in valuation and pricing, Ankur later transitioned into a key role as an Infrastructure and Product Specialist. It was at Goldman that he truly sharpened his understanding of markets, risk, and global financial systems.
Beyond finance, Ankur is an avid reader who loves to keep up with the global economy, macroeconomic trends, and market movements. From global policies to stock market shifts – if it moves the financial world, Ankur is reading about it. And yes, he’s also a cricket lover at heart!
Despite his impressive credentials and career, Ankur strongly believes in staying grounded:
