Hello Readers,

Did you hear?

The US has accused Iran of helping Russia!

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has accused Iran of supplying Russia with ballistic missiles! According to the statement, Iran supplied short-range ballistic missiles that Russia would be using ‘within weeks’ on targets beyond the front line. Considering how Iran has always sought Russian military equipment like the Su-35 jet and S-400 air system, this transfer could be seen as Iran trying to gain an advantageous position. Now what?

Fresh sanctions have been imposed on Iran!

The US, alongside Germany, Britain, and France, has announced fresh sanctions on Iran for supplying said missiles to Russia. The 3 European powers have announced that they would cut aviation agreements with Iran and sanction its national carrier since it directly threatened European security. These sanctions are in addition to the existing crippling sanctions that have paralyzed its economy. How did Iran react to the news?

Iran has threatened action!

Iran has clearly rejected the missile transfer claims made by the US. It has denied supplying Russia with any weapons and summoned the British, French, German, and Dutch envoys after the countries made the remarks and imposed the sanctions. Moreover, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson called the new sanctions a “continuation of the West’s hostile policy and economic terrorism against the people of Iran”, while vowing an ‘appropriate and proportionate’ response!! What’s happening with Russia?

Russian attack is getting stronger!

While Kyiv did catch Russia off-guard with its counter-invasion into Kursk, Russia has recovered. It has launched a sharp counterattack in the region as Russian troops have managed a significant breakthrough against the Ukrainian defense. Moreover, Russia has been ramping up attacks on Ukraine with a recent attack on a grain ship in the Black Sea! In fact, Ukraine is now seeking US and UK’s approval to use their supplied weapons to hit deeper into Russian territory! What did Russia say?

Russia has issued a warning of a bigger war!

Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a threat to NATO. He has warned the alliance leaders against lifting the restrictions on their supplied weapons, stating that Russia would interpret it as an ‘act of war’! While the UK has agreed to allow Ukraine free-hand on the use of the weapons, the US has been hesitant on allowing Ukraine to use its weapons on Russian soil. The US understands that allowing Ukraine to strike deep into Russia using US-made weapons would result in World War 3, as Putin has threatened. How long will the war go on?

Speaking of war, did you know Data Analytics can be used for war!!?

That’s right. National Security advisors can use Data Analytics to make critical wartime decisions that can change the tide of the war. Some examples are:-

  • Predict enemy movement (like the US did in the Iraq war)
  • Triangulate terrorist hideouts (using social media and internet usage data)
  • Identifying enemy weapon caches and strongholds (by analyzing satellite imagery and geographic data)
  • For cyberwarfare (to carry out/defend against cyber attacks)
  • To optimize logistics (to ensure supplies and equipment reach ASAP!)
  • To identify possible threats (by analyzing data from communications and shady financial transactions)

Interestingly, war is not the only field where Data Analytics is growing. With technology being applied to every aspect of our lives, companies are gathering an unprecedented amount of data every day! A recent estimate suggested that around 402.74 million TB data is generated every day!!

With an ever-growing gold mine that can boost company performance, every company now seeks competent Data Analysts who can derive the right kind of insights and help management decision-making. However, the supply is not enough to meet growing demand.

In fact, many companies are willing to pay a premium of 35-40% to bring in such individuals!!! Are you prepared to become the candidate that HRs fight over with seven-figure salaries?
