Donald Trump said he’d support military strikes inside Mexico to target drug cartels, declaring he’d do “whatever we have to do to stop drugs.” Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum flatly rejected the idea, insisting, “It’s not going to happen.” Sheinbaum said she’s made clear to Trump and his Secretary of State that while Mexico welcomes intelligence sharing, it will not permit any foreign military intervention on its territory. Protests have broken out in Nepal! Again!!

Young Gen-Z protesters in Simara, Bara (Nepal) clashed for a second day with CPN-UML cadres, leaving several injured. Authorities imposed a curfew (1 PM–8 PM) and used tear gas to disperse crowds near Simara Airport. Protesters demand the arrest of UML ward-chairs they accuse of assault. Interim PM Sushila Karki called for restraint, warned against “unwanted political provocation,” and urged all parties to trust the democratic process ahead of the March 2026 elections. What else?
Hasina has received the death penalty in Bangladesh!

Sheikh Hasina, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, has been sentenced to death in absentia by a special tribunal for crimes against humanity. The court found her guilty on three counts — incitement, ordering killings, and failing to prevent atrocities — linked to a brutal crackdown on a 2024 student uprising. Judges ruled she authorized lethal force using helicopters and drones, and the tribunal imposed the death penalty as her sole sentence.
Hindus living in fear under Yunus: Hasina!!

Sheikh Hasina vehemently rejected the death sentence, calling the tribunal “rigged,” “biased,” and politically motivated under an “unelected” Yunus-led government. She said she was denied a fair chance to defend herself, with no choice of counsel, and that the verdict was preordained. Hasina, in turn, accused Yunus’s interim regime of unleashing violence against minorities, particularly Hindus, claiming they now live in fear and face persecution under his chaotic rule.
Bangladesh has invited NSA Ajit Doval for talks!

Bangladesh’s NSA Khalilur Rahman met his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval in New Delhi shortly after ex-PM Sheikh Hasina was sentenced to death, and formally invited him to Dhaka. India, meanwhile, said it has “formally taken note” of the verdict and remains “committed to the best interests of the people of Bangladesh, including in peace, democracy, inclusion and stability.”

Thousands of undocumented Bangladeshis in West Bengal are reportedly fleeing India after the start of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, fearing detention or deportation. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has urged the Election Commission to halt the exercise, warning of severe “human cost” and calling the process chaotic. Border districts have seen rising panic, with many departing overnight to avoid verification checks as this marks a major development in the political scenario of West Bengal!
