Vladimir Putin arrived in New Delhi on December 4, 2025, for a two-day state visit to India hosted by Narendra Modi. The visit marks Putin’s first to India since 2021 and the first since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. He and Modi are scheduled to hold the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit, with talks centered on defence cooperation, energy supply, trade, and potential arms and technology agreements. The visit also aims to expand cooperation in sectors like health, agriculture, culture, and strategic logistics under a recently ratified military-logistics pact. What else?

Putin has slammed US pressure on India!

Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 4, 2025 challenged United States criticism of India for buying Russian oil, noting that the U.S. continues to purchase Russian nuclear fuel — and argued that if Washington enjoys that right, so should India. He dismissed Western attempts to politicise energy trade, calling India’s imports commercially rational and stressing that Russia–India cooperation remains unaffected by sanctions. What else?

India and Russia’s trade could reach $100 billion by 2030!

India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said bilateral trade with Russia has reached roughly USD 70 billion and stated that both countries are targeting USD 100 billion in trade by 2030. He noted that the current trade basket is heavily skewed toward Indian imports, driven largely by energy purchases, and stressed the need for diversification to make flows more balanced. Goyal also highlighted untapped opportunities for expanding Indian exports to Russia across sectors such as consumer goods, automobiles, electronics, industrial goods, textiles, food products, and services. India wants a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his meeting with Vladimir Putin at the 23rd India–Russia summit in Delhi, said that India is “not neutral” in the Russia–Ukraine war but firmly “on the side of peace.” He called for a resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy, and stated that India supports all efforts aimed at restoring peace. Meanwhile, Putin acknowledged India’s engagement and said Moscow remains committed to working toward a peaceful solution. What else?

Latest negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war failed!!

Talks between Kremlin and U.S. envoys over a proposed peace plan for Ukraine and Russia ended after a five-hour session with “no compromise” on territorial issues, a senior Russian aide confirmed. Moscow described the dialogue as “constructive” but said several parts of the U.S.-drafted plan remain unacceptable. The core dispute over control of eastern Ukrainian regions persists, and both sides agree that substantial work remains before any agreement can be reached and any positive developments emerge.
