Hello Readers,
Did you hear?
Tourism in Kashmir has declined!

A week after the barbaric and cowardly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir’s economy has taken a nosedive. While some chose to stay, the majority decided to flee as soon as possible. Moreover, some reports suggest that 90-95% of future reservations were cancelled as hotels stand empty and shikaras & houseboats stay lifeless. The valley, which saw 6 lakh visitors in only 17 days, is now dull and silent once again as the last 5 years of progress has been wiped out! What about Pakistan?
Pakistan refused to accept its citizens!

After its tit-for-tat move to expel Indians, Pakistan made a shocking move. All Indians expelled from Pakistan were accepted immediately by the Indian government, but Pakistan sealed its Wagah border and did not accept its own citizens! While the Pakistani Foreign Office claimed that India’s visa cancellation was a ‘humanitarian crisis’, it abandoned its own citizens who were stranded on the border! However, the border was opened later on with Pakistan claiming India lied about the matter!! What else?
Pakistan is violating the LOC ceasefire!

Despite claiming to be a peace-loving country, Pakistan is provoking India a lot. It claims that it received credible intelligence that India was planning to attack Pakistan! Next, the Pakistani ambassador to Russia was quoted saying that Pakistan would use all its powers, conventional and nuclear, if it was attacked! Finally, since tensions started rising, Pakistani troops opened unprovoked small arms firing! It has been going on for 10 days and has been carried out in multiple sectors! What else?
Pakistan has allies!

With the chances of a war increasing every day, Pakistan’s allies have been revealed for the world to see. China has expressed its support for a neutral probe, but simultaneously made an ‘express delivery’ of PL-15 missiles to counter India’s new Rafales! Moreover, other reports suggested that Turkiye spent planes loaded with ammunition and military supplies!! Finally, Bangladesh leader Yunus' aide threatened to occupy all northeastern states if India attacked Pakistan! What about India?
India is receiving global support!!

While tensions are rising, India is playing it smart. It isn’t blindly attacking Pakistan, but slowly killing it using non-violent measures like closing Indian airspace, cutting the water supply, and ending trade! The US and Russia have both expressed full support for India, but have called for peace talks with Pakistan! According to reports, 16 world leaders have contacted PM Modi! However, India has expressed its willingness to engage in war if Pakistan chooses to react aggressively. Pakistan has poked the tiger and will face the consequences!!
Speaking of war, did you know Data Analytics can be used for war!!?
That’s right. National Security advisors can use Data Analytics to make critical wartime decisions that can change the tide of the war. Some examples are:-
- Predict enemy movement (like the US did in the Iraq war)
- Triangulate terrorist hideouts (using social media and internet usage data)
- Identifying enemy weapon caches and strongholds (by analyzing satellite imagery and geographic data)
- For cyberwarfare (to carry out/defend against cyber attacks)
- To optimize logistics (to ensure supplies and equipment reach ASAP!)
- To identify possible threats (by analyzing data from communications and shady financial transactions)
Interestingly, war is not the only field in which data analytics is growing. With technology being applied to every aspect of our lives, companies are gathering an unprecedented amount of data every day! A recent estimate suggested that around 402.74 million TB of data is generated every day!!

With an ever-growing gold mine that can boost company performance, every company now seeks competent data analysts who can derive the right kind of insights and help management with decision-making. However, the supply is not enough to meet the growing demand.
In fact, many companies are willing to pay a premium of 35-40% to bring in such individuals!!! Are you prepared to become the candidate that HRs fight over with seven-figure salaries?
