Trump is now the 47th President of the US!

He passed 70+ orders on the first day!

On his first day as President, Trump got to work as he began by signing 78 executive orders! He announced the withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement for Climate Change and the World Health Organization! He pardoned 1,500 protesters who were charged in the Capitol Hill riots while ending WFH for all Federal employees! Following his fight against illegal immigration, he declared a “national emergency” on the US-Mexico border and ended the US’ 300+ year-old birthright citizenship benefit! But that got him in trouble!

22 states have sued him!

In less than a week of taking power, the Trump administration has gotten in trouble as 22 Democratic-leaning states have sued Trump over his order against birthright citizenship! While Trump claims the move was to combat illegal immigration into the US, these states claim that Trump overstepped his authority and that his move was a direct violation of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment! The 2 lawsuits filed sought to repeal his order which these states claimed was against the “American Spirit”!! What was the result?

A judge has blocked his order!

A Federal Judge from Seattle has temporarily revoked Trump’s order to end birthright citizenship. Despite the Department of Justice claiming that the move was to curb illegal immigration into the US, Judge John Coughenour blocked the Trump administration from implementing the order against birthright citizenship as he called it “blatantly unconstitutional”! The DOJ has announced that it will “vigorously defend” Trump’s plans which they claim is the correct interpretation of the 14th Amendment! What did Trump say about Putin?

Trump has threatened Putin!!

As part of his campaign promise, Trump began mediating between Ukraine and Russia immediately as he called for an end to the war. He expressed his sense of camaraderie for Russian citizens and President Putin, calling on the latter to end the “ridiculous war”! However, he also threatened further sanctions if Russia refused to cooperate!! In response, Putin has announced that Russia is ready for a “mutually respectful dialogue”. What do you think?
