Trump has imposed a 35% tariff on Cananda!

U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 35% tariff on Canadian imports, effective August 1, citing concerns over drug trafficking and national security. The decision marks a sharp increase from the previous 25% rate. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded by stating that Canada has made vital progress in combating fentanyl and emphasized ongoing cooperation with the United States. He added that the Canadian government would defend its workers and businesses as the new trade measures take effect. What else?

Brazil has threatened counteraction over tariffs!

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated that Brazil will impose retaliatory tariffs on U.S. imports if former U.S. President Donald Trump implements a proposed 50% tariff on Brazilian goods. Trump linked the potential tariff to Brazil’s trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Lula referred to Brazil’s recently passed Economic Reciprocity Law, allowing matching tariff actions. He emphasized that Brazil must be respected and warned that Trump’s threat could seriously damage trade relations between the two countries. What about the situation back home?

Trump’s birthright citizenship plans were paused by a judge!

A federal judge has temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order that sought to end birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to immigrant parents who are not citizens or lawful permanent residents. The judge ruled the order likely violates the 14th Amendment and certified a nationwide class action to protect affected children. In his ruling, the judge emphasized that stripping citizenship would cause serious, lasting harm and declared that the order cannot take effect while legal challenges proceed. Musk’s company has launched Grok 4!!

Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has launched Grok 4, a new version of its chatbot that Musk claims performs at a PhD level across disciplines. He stated that most PhDs would fail tests Grok 4 could pass. The model excels in complex reasoning and mathematics, and Musk believes it may soon contribute to major scientific discoveries, including new technologies this year and new physics within two years. Grok 4 is built on xAI’s new engine, Grok-2, and integrated into X’s Premium+ service.

This indicates that the market is all set to grow more in the next 5 years!!
