Hello Readers,
Did you hear?
Former PM Manmohan Singh passed away!
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, famous for liberalising key economic reforms, has passed away. One of India’s longest-serving PMs and India’s first Sikh PM died at the age of 92 after he was admitted to a hospital in Delhi due to deteriorating health conditions. Dr. Singh held many great positions in the country: economic advisor to the government, governor of the RBI, finance minister, and then an ‘accidental’ PM. However, the current government disrespected him after his demise?
Congress claims BJP is insulting the deceased PM!
The Indian Congress Party is dissatisfied with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decision to hold Dr. Singh’s last rites at Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat, calling it a deliberate insult to India’s first Sikh PM. Congress wanted Veer Bhumi or Shakti Sthal for Dr. Singh’s last rites to allow the site to serve as a memorial. Interestingly, the Congress-led-UPA government had rejected proposals for individual memorials and set up the Rashtriya Smriti Sthal. However, the BJP has an unexpected ally.
“Utter rubbish” says Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter!
Former President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter has lashed out against Congress. She claimed that Congress did not hold a CWC meeting on President Mukherjee’s demise, despite him being from Congress! Moreover, they lied to her, claiming that the meetings were held only for PMs despite President Mukherjee drafting the speech for former President Narayanan’s funeral! However, she agreed that the idea of Dr. Singh having his memorial was a “great idea” and that he deserved it. What did the BJP say?
BJP claims Congress is doing dirty politics!
BJP party spokesperson CR Kesavan went off against Congress as he called the Congress President’s words about traditions ‘ironic’ considering that Congress never built a memorial for PM Narasimha Rao after PM Rao passed away in 2004 until they remained in power till 2014. He asked Congress to stop playing dirty politics and reminded how PM Modi made a memorial for PM Rao in 2015 and honoured him with the Bharat Ratna posthumously! Finally, the Centre announced that a place for a memorial will be allocated for Dr. Singh!
Global leaders have offered condolences.
Former PM Manmohan Singh was cremated on Saturday as Dr. Singh’s funeral was conducted with full state honours including a 21-gun salute. Allies like the Gandhi family and Congress President, PM Modi, President Murmu, Bhutan’s king, and Mauritius’ Foreign Minister were present during his final rites. US President Biden called Dr. Singh a ‘true statement’ while Russian President Vladimir Putin praised his achievements and called him a “remarkable man”! India has lost a great academic.
Speaking of lost, did you hear?

Due to an overall economic slowdown. Companies are being cautious with who they hire as global economic conditions have tempted companies to be selective about who they hire.
Does that mean we don’t have a chance?
Incorrect. Companies will always need skilled employees who bring the right mix of theory and practicality to the job. They are always on the lookout for individuals who are fiercely competent enough.
