Hello Readers,

Did you hear?

Afghanistan and Pakistan began fighting!

In early October 2025, Taliban fighters from Afghanistan attacked Pakistani military posts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, triggering intense cross-border clashes. Pakistan responded with airstrikes targeting Taliban and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan positions in Afghanistan. Fighting over several days caused dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries on both sides. A suicide bombing on a Pakistani military camp near the Afghan border added to the casualties, while skirmishes and shelling continued along the border, reflecting the sustained hostilities between the two sides. What next?

Both countries agreed to a 48-hour ceasefire!

Pakistan and Afghanistan announced a 48-hour ceasefire starting October 15, 2025, after deadly border clashes that left dozens dead. Pakistan’s foreign ministry said the truce was agreed at Afghanistan’s request, while the Taliban government has not publicly confirmed it. Recent clashes included drone strikes and a suicide attack on Pakistani troops near the border. The ceasefire is intended to halt immediate hostilities, though tensions along the border remain high. What else?

Afghanistan is fighting India’s proxy war: Khwaja Asif!

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif claimed that the Taliban are acting as India’s proxy to destabilize Pakistan. He alleged that Delhi is backing Afghan actions against Pakistan and influencing cross-border tensions. Asif warned that India “could play dirty” in this context and emphasized that Pakistan is prepared for a two-front war involving both India and Afghanistan. Interestingly, Pakistan’s former PM Benazir Bhutto was known to have supported the Taliban, but India is suddenly controlling the BLA and Taliban? What else?

Afghanistan paraded Pakistani tanks and pants!!

Taliban fighters in Afghanistan paraded what they claimed were the pants of Pakistani soldiers allegedly left behind during recent clashes, mocking Pakistan’s military. The display was accompanied by captured Pakistani tanks and vehicles, presented as trophies of victory. Social media users drew parallels to the 1971 war, when around 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to Indian forces. This goes to show that Pakistan is eager to begin a fight but when the fighting gets serious, Pakistan knows only to tuck its tail between its legs and run. What about India?

India has slammed Pakistan for harbouring terrorists!

India has strongly stated that Pakistan hosts and supports terrorist organizations and sponsors cross-border terrorism. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Pakistan undermines Afghan sovereignty and attempts to shift blame for its own failures. Following recent clashes between Afghan and Pakistani forces, India expressed full support for Kabul, reaffirming its commitment to Afghanistan’s independence, territorial integrity, and stability. The MEA described Pakistan’s actions as a threat to regional peace and security, emphasizing India’s concern over continued cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan’s war fetish.

Speaking of war, did you know Data Analytics can be used for war!!?

That’s right. National Security advisors can use Data Analytics to make critical wartime decisions that can change the tide of the war. Some examples are:-

  • Predict enemy movement (like the US did in the Iraq war)
  • Triangulate terrorist hideouts (using social media and internet usage data)
  • Identifying enemy weapon caches and strongholds (by analyzing satellite imagery and geographic data)
  • For cyberwarfare (to carry out/defend against cyber attacks)
  • To optimize logistics (to ensure supplies and equipment reach ASAP!)
  • To identify possible threats (by analyzing data from communications and shady financial transactions)

Interestingly, war is not the only field where Data Analytics is growing. With technology being applied to every aspect of our lives, companies are gathering an unprecedented amount of data every day! A recent estimate suggested that around 402.74 million TB data is generated every day!!

With an ever-growing gold mine that can boost company performance, every company now seeks competent Data Analysts who can derive the right kind of insights and help with management decision-making. However, the supply is not enough to meet growing demand.

In fact, many companies are willing to pay a premium of 35-40% to bring in such individuals!!! Are you prepared to become the candidate that HRs fight over with seven-figure salaries?
